Why do you think the CAFC did not side with the Federal
judges. I thought the ruling was that the patent solved
an unsolved and needed problem so they sided with the judges(s).
Precedent cases are always older. It was a cosmetic chemical case.

Here is an interesting discussion on the NXP patent case against
INTC. Silicon Valley types do not believe in patents at all in spite
of the US Constitution. That is what is really going on in the
NLST case. They call NXPI (old combined spin off
of Phillips and Motorola semiconductor) a patent troll. The actual
patents are from R&D that NXPI is attempting to monetize. See the
last post in the thread that tries to explain the situation.
