What this story, and more than a little experience in conducting DC trials, is that immunotherapies are not the answer to GBM. They may be part of the answer, but to expect that any immunotherapy will, by itself, cure a serious cancer is likely to disappoint. Even NWBO requires a "debulking" surgery to remove as much tumor as possible, both to harvest the tumor material and to reduce the volume of diseased tissue that the therapy has to deal with.
GBM may well need radiation, cytotoxics, immunotherapy agents, and surgical debulking. None of those treatments are likely to work by themselves, but they might work when used in combination.
