Re: (OT) For those interested in GBM-longfellow Well, I don't think their data at 18 months and 24 months will prove to be anything special. The 4th and 5th quarter after surgery are when most GBM progressions occur and 5th - 7th are when most deaths occur. They aren't there yet. Though it does concern me somewhat that there will be an AA application at some point next year on the basis of relatively short term data (before it start to to go downhill). Just like Novocure. NWBO need to get their finger out. Don't think Reardon should be saying what he said. He is intimating that this combo might become SOC. And the evidence simply isn't there to justify that. Echoes of Stupp declaring a new standard of care (Optune) is born, before approval. He should have restricted himself to some comment along the lines of the data being promising so far. One also wonders what would be the cost per patient of this 3 element combo. $400k or more? Mind you, the more outrageously exorbitant something is, the more likely it is to get approved, so it would seem. And I'm sceptical about a 'tolerable' toxicity profile. It's not for a physician to define what is tolerable to a patient. The ICI alone will be more toxic than DCVax-L. Personally I don't think HPV vaccines should be approved at all. Look at Gardasil:- " ..as of May 31, 2019, the federal Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) contains more than 62,393 reports of HPV vaccine reactions, hospitalizations, injuries and deaths and, includes 503 related deaths, 6,286 hospitalizations, and 3,018 disabling conditions. Nearly 47 percent of the reported serious adverse events occurred in children and teens 12-17 years of age." https://www.nvic.org/Vaccines-and-Diseases/HPV.aspx Absolutely appalls me that this is being done to young girls, without any remote justification. I don't know anything about their Covid vaccine candidate, other than who is backing it. Which is where the reference to GOH comes in. He is the one who should remain nameless. I am not suggesting INO is a bad financial investment. But not for me... |
