Hmm. Is it possible that Woodford is or will be drip-divesting the part of his NWBO holding that is in his Equity Income fund, as he gradually tries to reposition the portfolio to get out of illiquid assets, so as to get to get the fund suspension lifted?
If it does happen, it won't, imo, reflect much at all on his fundamental view of the stock, and it's probably the worst time to divest, but it may be something on which he perhaps feels he has little alternative.
I don't know if we will readily be able to identify this if it happens, but I didn't like the look of yesterday's action; highish volume and apparently mostly sell side. But equally, it could just be the usual MM shenanigans.
At the same time, I expect him to hold onto the Patient Capital holding until the death, or the Patient recovers.
(Jerry. I think you did a check recently on how much he had in each fund?)
