Re: I believe a $50 market cap is possible, but not for a couple years Well, in the sense that the subjects in the two arms in this trial were drawn from the same eligible population, at the same time and from the same hospitals and were centrally randomized then of course yes. The patients are all apples in that sense but the IND is only given to some (putting aside crossover for a sec) so the treatments are obviously not apple:apple. But I get your meaning, so I will refrain from further pedantry. It's AV, who has on several occasions asserted that this trial is trending towards no advantage over general SOC treatment. And I would like to think that I have demonstrated otherwise. One must, of course make allowance for advances in surgery during the decade of this trial. It is probably one of two factors in later entry patients pushing up the OS milestones, along with the apparent randomization of the last 31-38 patients to the treatment arm. I think the latter factor is indicative evidence that genuine treatment effect is occurring Though all will out sooner or later. I still haven't heard any explanation that fits what we know as to the cause of the partial partial hold. AF will continue to mislead by calling it a 'halted trial', but that is just par for his course. It sure is a strange one. At the end of the day, if they use historical controls to supplement the treatment/control delta, they will surely be needing to look extremely closely at the data from comparative trials, and surely Stupp 2005, Optune EF-14, and perhaps Rindo will be high on their list. By the way, the Stupp trial was open-label (more potential for bias) and include some patients without confirmed GBM histology... So there are always differences, which make any comparison imperfect. But that is why they are taking this as far as they can, to hopefully show that their data is hugely in advance of anything that has gone before. |
