FDEU to Convert to an ETF Form | Closed-End Funds Message Board Posts

  • Please accept my sincerest apologies for failing to publicly acknowledge our fallen heroes this past Memorial Day. No excuse I could offer could justify the oversight. Along with you, I salute the many men and women who have proudly and selflessly served in our military to protect, defend and secure the freedoms and liberties we enjoy each and every day. Their bravery in making the ultimate sacrifice will forever be appreciated and they will always be remembered and celebrated and never taken for granted or forgotten.

Re: FDEU to Convert to an ETF Form

Thanks for the clarification about this. First Trust comes off looking pretty good in these instances. I note that the FVL conversion was never very popular and it wound up getting folded into the FVD ETF which is quite large and was the successor to the cef of the same symbol.

I thought I'd also note that I saw a fabled name in the list of commenters on the seekingalpha piece u embedded. That was the legendary cevestor Chamois who hold hands will recognize was revealed after his death to be Admiral Bill Small. He was a commenter on this chat board but decamped to other venues when a friend of his got upset at nasty personal cooments. He went over to the Mstar cef board because it was moderated to keep the personal comments from occurring. He did haowever stay with the MLP board here on I V til his death.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
