Re: Interest rates staying 'higher for longer' means at least through 2026 for the FedHis description of 'higher for longer' may seem 'squishy' or 'fuzzy', but his position is clear... higher for longer. Not exactly a strange concept. That's the soft landing scenario. He has gotten rates up to this new range without seriously damaging the economy. Rates will fluctuate in this narrow range for the foressable future... until he gets to his 2% target for inflation. |
