Well here we go. Maybe. Looking at the charts of both the QQQ and SPY, it looks like they each put in the dreaded lower highs with peaks in mid July followed by lower highs at the end of Aug. The 200 dma are below, with the QQQ at 327 (call it 9% below) and the SPY at 414 or about 7% below. Both QQQ and SPY are sitting right on the 100 dma, so you figure those levels are going to break. They might try a bounce, but it's seasonally too weak to hold in my view.
