WHF is a small ($300 MM) bdc yielding almost 11%. Huff mentioned it a while ago. I was surprised to discover today that they have a JV with STRS -- the State Teacher's Retirement System of Ohio. I actually pay into STRS myself, and they'll be paying me when I retire. Clearly STRS has substantial fiduciary responsibility, so to my mind, the fact that they have a JV with WHF adds to WHF's cred.
"The WHF STRS JV was established in 2019 to invest primarily in lower middle market senior secured debt facilities. Since inception, the value of the WHF STRS JV portfolio has grown to over $280 million and consisted of 28 portfolio companies with a total portfolio weighted average effective yield of 10.1% as of September 30, 2022."
