Re: TGT option trade ideaWell, we don't know yet because (1)they didn't report yet and (2) the strategy was designed to capture the upside to $190. That being said, here's the math using the option closing prices: An $8 gain is equal to 4.5% On the options: The 175/190 call spread had a net investment of about $4 or $400 per option contract and that is now showing it's worth about $7, so a gain of $3. The short $160 put was $3.65 and is now $1.53, so a gain of $2. Altogether the options have gained $500 per total contracts on an investment of $100, so that's 400%. So it depends on whether you count by percentage gain or $ gain and how many option contracts you would have played. If you played 2 contracts that outgained if you bought 100 shares. |
