Re: AMZA CUTS TO $0.06/MONTH - board - markStagg, 1. No one bats 1000. 2. As I just agreed with you, timing is everything on your purchase. For example, those who bought AM at $14 have a different return than you who bought it at $4. 3. Just because I was wrong on the market in any particular name, does not mean the underlying principal is wrong (e.g. the "no free lunch" argument). 4. On ROC, putting aside the point about the different types of ROC (destructive versus not) why pay someone a management fee to give you your money back? 5. I'd rather buy a stock that is increasing the actual cash distributed to me than a company that has decreased its dividend by over 50% and seen it's stock price go under $5 like AMZA has. 6. AMZA is NOT oversold as its RSI is near 61, its bumping up against its 50 dma, the MACD lines are rolling over. It has periodic rallies, but has never stopped its long term destruction of NAV. 7. One could argue that the MLP industry is oversold or undervalued, but as they say, the market can remain irrational longer than one can remain solvent. |
