I was short TECK, a Canadian miner at $50, covered at $30 in 2008. In 2009 when all energy and materials stocks got killed, I checked it out. It was at $2.90, so I bought some. I doubled up at $2.70, was scared when dropped to $2.50, didn't buy. It went back over $60. Tosca asked me why I bought at $2.90 and not at $15. If I bought at $15, I would get killed but as soon as I bought it, it started moving up. I had no good answer. I was lucky, I guess.
Biotech_Jim not only picked PAVM, his timing was perfect. It IPOd at $15. But it was at or under $1 from June 2018 to Dec 2019. Scopia founder Sirovich still owned over 4m shares, didn't move the stock up.
As soon as Biotech_Jim brought it to our attention, it started moving up and tripled in 2 months.
