I've made a similar post in the past. Frequently I will check Google and some online forums for anecdotal evidence of Nuplazid being used for new patients. I am always shocked by the absence of any mention at all from the larger Parkinson's disease forums. I mean, there are no discussions on these sites about Nuplazid. Despite our quarterly reports suggesting commercial success, this has always concerned me. It wasn't until just now that I stepped back to think about who the typical Nuplazid patient is - an individual in their 70's, or even older. How many 70-80 year old people are making an effort to update a forum on the internet? Not many... To further validate this assumption I looked at the prevalence of Nuplazid on a popular Schizophrenia site (http://forum.schizophrenia.com/search?q=nuplazid) and it was actually being discussed a fair amount, and this in a population that isn't even included on the label. So I guess the point of this post is to just remind myself and others that it probably makes sense if we aren't hearing lots of stories of Nuplazid's success. The target patient population isn't really the prototypical internet user...
