Re: Week 78 // Final Tally // All Trades +76% // F Trades +75% // T Trades +57% // LT Trades +97%

In hindsight, the week wasn't all that bad. The number of new positions totaled 16, with
9 of their initial theses correct (that is, valid one-and-done's). This was worse than the
previous week, where over 3/4 were valid.

The most cited thesis during this past week (and on Fri as well) was that "AMZN would
pin at $2150". That was true for Thur, but not for Fri, as it sold off in the latter part of the
day as the MMs rarely make it that easy.

For every position, the additional trades beyond the original thesis were executed to
either 'fix' a thesis or to goose the return. The first were necessary while the latter
were unnecessary.

This week I did itemize the positions rolled to next week to keep the stats honest.
These will all be closed out by 21 Feb as I am leaving town the following week for
a week of vacation in Fiji (return 4 Mar). So this upcoming week (ending 21 Feb) will
be the last week for profit opportunities, followed by a week off (ending 28 Feb), then
a half-week of trades on Thu-Fri for the week ending 6 Mar.

Again I will focus on finding one-and-done's since it is difficult for readers to keep up
with the additional trades made for a position. I will include at least 1, and perhaps 2,
plays on ER's. The sure one is  WMT on Tue while the other possible is PXD or AAP,
both also on Tue. Look for the trades Tue morning, along with a one-and-done trade on
NVDA, BABA, and possibly more ROKU. The latter 3 all reported excellent earnings,
so if the week looks to be positive, I'll be selling put spreads on them that should EW
by Fri.

My goal, as usual, is to make every opening trade (other than ER plays) a viable
one-and-done.

I start next week with the rolled positions at the bottom of this post.

G/L: +15.90  G/L% = +47% Comment: This was my first foray into using TSLA options
for a win since it has climbed above $400. It's not easy, given both the mercurial
movement of the pps as well as external news events that can drive it up or down.
I thought this one ended ok. But the TSLA day trade (F7) was a nice one-and-done.

Friday before pushing the ITM leg into OTM territory. Acted too soon here.  Note that
this loss was more than covered by the other ER play (LT4, below).
