FWIW, in the same area Seadrill Group's contract for 9 wells firm, plus 6 one option wells in Angola with the newbuild Sonangol Libongos has started up for its customer. Customer is Eni.
Assuming all options are exercised, Libongos will be working for Eni in Angola into 2022.
Naturally this contract will be added into Seadrill Group's next quarterly Fleet Status Report.
Furthermore, my sense is the next Fleet Status Report will be updated to clarify that the West Gemini contracted (firm + options) into Dec 2021 in Angola, will be with either Exxon or potentially French major Total.
Nice to see Seadrill Group winning most of the multi-year contracts that the major E&P firms have been announcing. All good stuff. T.D.
