SDRL no-longer controls SDLP
On p.2 of SDLP's 2016 Annual Report you'll find the following:
"Seadrill ceased to control the Company (SDLP) as defined by generally accepted accounting principles in the United States ("GAAP") and, therefore, Seadrill Partners and Seadrill are no longer deemed to be entities under common control. As such, acquisitions by the Company from Seadrill subsequent to this date are no longer accounted for under this method."
I think SDLP will be able to separate itself from SDRL and not only survive, but prosper in the years to come. The stock price has been steady and trading at low volume in recent weeks which tells me insiders are holding onto their shares and sitting tight.
IMHO you should Buy the dips in SDLP.
