What is happening to FGP? I don't know the answer. I know they had some problems, and that is why their distribution is where it is, and the stock price is where it is. But all forecasts point to the colder winter, and if I understand it correctly, that is the major benefit for FGP. I have FGP in my IRA account, and as soon as some dividends from other holdings come in, I invest into additional units of FGP (I have 100 commission-free trades per year in that account, and I don't need to care about cost basis, or UBTI, or any other stuff there). It worked in the past - the distribution reinvestment, plus some additional purchases at the ridiculously low prices on a down-spike from time to time. I never had to do any paperwork related to taxes there, regardless of what some posters here say... But I don't understand why the unit price gets cheaper and cheaper almost every day. |
