freecode_99/stats_for_all/panglozz/etc and his unhealthy obsession to unmask DDT - Part 3: freecode_99/stats_for_all/panglozz takes on DDT on the very same day ...Message ID: 362741 Posted By: panglozz Posted On: 2006-04-13 01:39:00 Subject: The Scott McCollum Chronicles Recs: 6 In 2001, Scott McCollum, author of the Linux Zombie rant, was described as living in Austin. Texas. Later, versions of the same bio place him in Seattle. In a Nov. 2003 web citation for Driver DevCon, he gives his affiliation as Microsoft Corporation. This is reinforced by the current worldtribune bio which lists MSFT as a gig. http://www.worldtribune.com/WorldTribune/mccollum.html McCollum is a hyperactive podcaster for Republican Radio, IMAO.us and pureidiom.com This is a collection of mostly political and comedy sketches: http://www.kyouradio.com/website.php?page=podcasts&user=2636&username=Scott+McCo llum This link is interesting because McCollum gets repeatedly CC on some overheated argument about GCC compiling behavoir v. Also, not a big point, but that fits the "I couldn't rip-off a movie from a different region" scenario quite well. Likely not the first salted lead, but the first lead is one of the freeper crew and a wingnut. Also a likely candidate for the high speed and snakey connection as was first imagined. Molsons are fine with me. ;) I wonder if the goop toe would be in deep and distrusting his shadow? What we know: India, PANL, Scientology, English second-language. McCollum got into a dispute over the $100 laptop (Simputer) way back in Sept. 2002. He really does sound like Ballmer's personal lap dog. http://nilesh.org/weblog/2002/09/digital-divide-or-not/ He publishes "Republican Radio" on podcast and syndicated for distribution. His co-hosts recently have been Anne-Marie Lake and Gary Gagliardi. Anne-Marie Lake googles up with a set of Scientology class graduations in 2003. (McCollum has a July 4 pod-cast whose contents mention Scientology, and no I haven't listened) Gary Gagliardi has his own weird webpages as "America’s leading authority on Sun Tzu’s The Art of War" in a high priced management seminar setting. Gagliardi's sounds like his own parody. "Is he human?" DeepDistrust's May 2, 2004 ironic troll on the scientology usenet occurs in one of his long Y!SCOX lacunae. Yahoeuvre shows little remarkable about that week-- but does include some hilarious postings by uber-TFAD vanburgerstein. Could Deep's trolls be related to VBS? http://www.garygagliardi.com/ http://www.truthaboutscientology.com/stats/by-name/a/anne-marie-lake.html ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "panglozz" under the following license: License: CCL Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Message ID: 362845 Posted By: stats_for_all Posted On: 2006-04-13 11:24:00 Subject: Deep disturbs Recs: 32 The purpose of trolls is to disrupt. Deep has baited many of us, and has sparked subcritical fission. Crude, nativist stereotyping, and the inevitable objection of more thoughtful participants is the precise disruption that Deep uses to validate himself. I am responsible for the release of the "Telugu" hint. A relationship that may represent Deep misdirection or simple contrivance, but that under all circumstances should remain racist-free information. It appears that the maturity of a few posters here is so enfeebled that they cannot understand their prejudices are being manipulated for a troll's game. I have no further evidence on the identity or motivation of Deep, and I repeat my prediction that 'Outing' a troll like Deep is ineffective. I do seek to understand his motivation. To Deep, I will point out that your Linux Cult rant caused the Scott McCollum look-alike trolls to surface for me. I have compiled a dossier on McCollum that ties him irrevocably to direct Microsoft engagement. So you are making effects, but perhaps not what you intended. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "stats_for_all" under the following license: License: CCL Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Message ID: 362892 Posted By: deepdistrust Posted On: 2006-04-13 12:53:00 Subject: Re: Deep disturbs Recs: 1 You are really milking this for all it is worth, aren't you? In all, how many recs have you got so far for writing about me? < I do seek to understand his motivation. > What? Don't you have it all figured out? Am I not this troubled young man, away from my culture, seeking to form relationships with my tormentors, and all that good stuff? In this very message, you describe how I "validate" myself (whatever that means). Seems to me you are making this up as you go along. A whole collection of Linux Nuts is depending on you for answers, and they are not going to like this one bit! < So you are making effects, but perhaps not what you intended. > I post here, don't post here, you are going to keep doing your "research" anyway, so go right ahead! Keep adding to the junk. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "deepdistrust" under the following license: License: CCL Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Message ID: 363272 Posted By: deepdistrust Posted On: 2006-04-14 13:02:00 Subject: Re: Why the Loonies reallyy post here Recs: 1 If you ask them, they will say SCO maligned the Linux community, but that was so long ago! Some say SCO is threatening to levy a $699/copy fee on Linux customers. So??? A bunch of guys posting messages here stops that how? If SCO moves from threat to action, IBM or Red Hat or Novell will get an injunction from court to stop it. The Loonies don't have to trouble themselves. The real reason seems to be that they have a financial interest. They just want to make a little money in the guise of saving Linux, that's all. This is their way of 'monetizing' Linux! ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "deepdistrust" under the following license: License: CCL Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Message ID: 363292 Posted By: wallyebass Posted On: 2006-04-14 13:58:00 Subject: Re: Why the Loonies reallyy post here Recs: 9 >>The real reason seems to be that they have a financial interest.<< Unlikely. First, only a fraction of what happens here has to do with SCOX. Meeting here is not that much unlike meeting at the local bar to discuss politics and what not. But meeting here has a few advantages. It doesn't have the calories of a bar. The SCOX suit topic has ferreted out of bunch of people with similar interests, Linux being among those interests, since SCOX attacked Linux in some way. Nothing bonds people together as well as does having a common enemy. Relative to meeting in a bar, this place has the huge advantage that a number of people (stats, petrosky, for example) find "leading edge news" relative to the common interests that are found here. But, for the most part, I think it's simple socializing with a bunch of folks with a few common interests. If you're looking for something more profound than that, I doubt that you find it. How many places do you need for hanging out? (And, what is everybody doing on the Gateway board?) stats_for_all compiles all that information for what purpose, exactly? I have a hard time believing he spends all that time and energy if he doesn't have any financial interest in posting his findings. " Again, you make the same mistake you always do - you assume because you're a slow kid, that everyone else is as well, and that no one is more capable (or should be) than you. Bzzt! Sorry, there is always someone smarter than you. Besides the obvious smart-ass remark, their will always be someone smarter than you or me or whomever posts here. What you need to learn is that you are interjecting yourself in an ongoing battle started by SCOX against Linux users and developers and you might as well jump in between a dog and his bone. The result will always be the same - you're going to get bitten and deservedly so.
