Honeywell Open to M&A in 2H -- Market Talk
Dow Jones
Honeywell International is open to M&A investments in 2H, Finance Chief Greg Lewis says on a conference call. The industrial conglomerate commits to holding its share count about flat for the remainder of the year and is also open to share repurchases, Lewis says. "The M&A environment is just a little bit slower just because everybody is focused on battling the crisis," Chairman and Chief Executive Darius Adamczyk says. "But we think that may open up a little bit more here in the second half, and we hope to be active." The company recently tapped Emily McNeal to head its M&A efforts. She held a similar role at Walmart.
