Re: MU quandary Interesting, as I am also heavy in energy, though I am not looking to switch out. Actually, everything I have done to diversify has failed. Macro. Completely skipping the buildup (the FED, interest rates, QT, etc) I am at peak skepticism that the powers that be have any idea what they are doing. I'm not sure about an actual extended recession as I imagine the FED may well whipsaw back & forth between tightening and loosening. Bottom line, I am looking for a market crash, which may take a year or two to unfold. You are right about that current p/e! Attractive. MU is in a very capital intensive industry with high fixed costs. What is going to happen when the orders underpinning current projections get cancelled? There is going to be a major drop in revs but especially profits. I am old enough to have seen this before, several times. I agree that MU is the nicest house in the neighborhood but do not agree that medium term prospects are good enough for me to re-enter. |
