Commodities have been selling off, risk aversion is the trade, no reason that a high beta stock like IOC is not going to be impacted by that. The technicals are broken, sell first ask questions later is the mentality. I doubt it has anything to do with individual stock fundamentals i.e. deals etc but everything to do with momentum down and the shorts who love to play this stock. That has been the nature of this stock for years, it runs hard both ways. Doesn't help when you have the tie in to Asia and the Chinese stock market looks like it has been hit with a North Korean torpedo. Then there is the worlds not insignificant problem of de-leveraging... can't say STPIOC didn't see this coming and warned us.
