Re: Chevron Sells LNG, Stake to Tokyo Electric in $82 Billion Deal

A million cubic feet is about 20 tons. 700 million cubic feet per day is about 14,000 tons per day or around 5 million tons per year.

Chevron's contract of $82 billion for 20 years at 4.3 million tons per year is for LNG.  I don't know what the costs of setting up and running the liquids end of the business are, but if my math is correct, Antelope is one hell of a valuable field.  And IOC has millions of acres yet to explore.

Why do I get the idea this is sounds too good to be true?
