Not $200, but there had been multiple articles putting at between $2000 and $3000, so $3500 was a bit of a surprise.   Personally I don't think it matters, I think the majority of people that would spend $2000 will spend the $3500.  It's going to be developers and wealthy people buying the first few hundred thousand.  With many others checking them out at the Apple store.  Within the first couple of years they will come out with an SE equivalent and sales will pick up. 

 

Apple now sells over 200M iPhone per year, it took them 8 years to get from 0 to that number.   While I'm not saying they are going to sell that many Vision Pros, I am saying it's going to take a number year for us to see what kind of volume they do ultimately get.
