Why is AAPL green now while most of the indices are red? (eom) | AAPL Message Board Posts

  • Please accept my sincerest apologies for failing to publicly acknowledge our fallen heroes this past Memorial Day. No excuse I could offer could justify the oversight. Along with you, I salute the many men and women who have proudly and selflessly served in our military to protect, defend and secure the freedoms and liberties we enjoy each and every day. Their bravery in making the ultimate sacrifice will forever be appreciated and they will always be remembered and celebrated and never taken for granted or forgotten.

I agree! I learned from shock-and-awe experience — which I recalled here in my post 189299 — that Apple/AAPL is a SAFE HAVEN.

In June 2002, our dear Steven Paul Jobs pre-announced (after hours, I think) that Apple’s earnings would disappoint. In a flash, AAPL holders divested. Via a little app I had then, I watched agape the trades execute. They were like salmon rushing DOWNstream!!!

My volume numbers for AAPL’s historic dive are:

WED ..... 2002-06-19 ..... 12,030,579,200
THU ...... 2002-06-20 ....... 1,107,084,500

That dive augured the Dotcom (Dot-Com) crash of 2002.

And which company is still going strong a score and one years later?
