October 3Few days ago, I checked Brightspeed's web site, "October 3" was the date, customers transfer to Brightspeed. Yesterday, I checke Brightspeed's web site, Brightspeed removed the Date of "October 3" I was kind of concerned the deal might delay... Today, the "October 3" is back on, so I think the deal will close as scheduled. <<< Starting October 3, 2022, you will officially be a Brightspeed customer and all your account information will be transferred.>>>> My impression of Brightspeed. From what I see, their management works very hard, plans very well, working with many local/state agencies to get more funding. Ambitious and push many thing even before the deal closed. They are working to push fibers. When compare to Storey's team, LUMN is a big disappointment. It is not a right timing. But I believe Brightspeed needs the scale, and if they can get the rest of 16 states from LUMN, when they push through 10M fiber consumers (Brightspeed has 7M addressable locations, 16 states have 21M addressable locations, total 28M locations). If they can get to 20M subscribers, a $86B EV company (8X). Assuming total purchase price from LUMN (16states plus 20states) $22B plus $20B of CapEx. A huge return in 5 years. LUMN's team just not capable of doing much work... |
