The most instructive part of this experience for me was that it is CRITICAL to have an independent board. Any investor evaluating this company in a non emotional way (which granted for most is pretty tough when you own shares) knew this guy should have been tossed close to 10 years ago, but the board was so stacked it would/could never be done.
Crowe himself was instructive in many ways. He demonstrated how a person with a lot of charisma and an extraordinary gift of gab can mislead even a lot of very bright people, let alone ordinary ones.
We need to be careful of this type of guy at election time....oh yea...too late. :-)
