goverment deters what bac can dogovernment (fed) determines what bac can pay as far as dividends and also controls the amount spent on buybacks. this is how it is,,,no matter who is running bac. in the interest of shareholders who paid a price of dilution and reduction of dividends was in large part to the amount of wrongdoing by bac and all the fines that were levied against it. This should not be lost in the conversation of bac recovery to its glory days. all those billions in fines would have gone a long long way in buying back shares when shares were under $10 price point, not to mention all the monies bac spent of its legal defense. the shareholder was left holding a stinking bag...and most of those crooks responsible for wrongdoing still work at bac. They should be in jail... or lined up against a wall and shot. yes it will take years for the share count to be reduced to the 4 billion level. One part of bac that is of value is that of Merrill Lynch, what exactly is this piece of business worth? with bac at # per share. ??? every billion shares of bac is worth about $10 value in share price. which still brings the question of what is Merrill worth? |
