Re: GE Stock Looks Like It Has Turned a Corner. This Bear Disagrees.

I keep wondering how long this gig is going to work for Mr. Tusa. It is certainly one of the longest running and most profitable calls of all time. Especially for a strong negative call. Usually those play out as either a BK or else a reversal and phoenix like rise from the dead. They don't linger for years.

Anyway, I hope Tusa got a few new recruits to his thesis right in mid July when shares were floundering at $59. I don't want to necessarily wish the sellers at that time any harm, just good to share the pain of being on the wrong side all these years.

I still own GE. Aviation is worth current market cap. The Health care business might have some value some day as a stand alone. Who knows what to think of power. Seems like natural gas is going to play a role for awhile. The big systems the make and the maintenance on those may be worth something. They do generate 35% of electricity on earth. The electricity needs only go up if transportation shifts to EVs. The grid is more and more complex.

I don't intend to sell. At this point it is just a legacy asset. And a small piece at that. Smaller than it should be.

Go Tusa. Do your thing. At the very least the perma bear gig is less profitable than when you started pounding the table. But it has been a spectacular run. Like Apple in reverse. Congratulations to a legend.
