BlackRock buys remaining Distributed Solar Development stake from GE Renewable from SNL Energy Finance Daily BlackRock buys remaining Distributed Solar Development stake from GE RenewableByline: Usman Khalid BlackRock Real Assets completed the acquisition of the remaining 20% stake in Distributed Solar Development LLC from GE Renewable Energy. Distributed Solar Development, a joint venture between GE Renewable Energy and BlackRock's Global Renewable Power II Fund, is a U.S. commercial and industrial solar developer and operator. BlackRock, which now owns 100% of Distributed Solar Development, expects it to deploy over 200 MW annually beginning in 2021, according to a Nov. 10 news release. With the investment, GRP II, a $1.65 billion fund, is fully committed to 16 investments across more than 150 wind and solar projects in North America, Europe and Asia. BlackRock Real Assets is a BlackRock Inc. subsidiary. GE Renewable Energy is owned by General Electric Co. |
