Leaders need followers.... Didn't expect it to be dropped from DJA, but such is life. As for the future, it took a long time for GE to become as big and as important as it was. Then again, Kodak didn't make it, but GEs survival seems more likely than total disintegration.
If one disagrees that we're due for a recession, and that now more than ever mankind understands what it takes to keep things in balance...?. Borrowing costs aren't that high, and lots are still reluctant to go crazy in spending tomorrow's dollars, so we'll probably muddle on, and China and Europe will follow. Could GE again be a leader?
Long term, G E just might have the expertise and be the ticket. Can't go much further down, so up seems more likely -- lots of assets and brain power still there. Recruiting for the future as old ideas retire? .
What will the
millennials make of this world and discover that handouts last only so long? No free lunches. Work is work. Success is EARNED.
