Is anyone else curious as to whether we will see a drop in the liquids rig count? A lot of the drilling for the liquids rich is coming from gassers trying to salvage themselves from themselves. Markets are getting spooked again, and these companies do not have the internal cash flow to fund their massive shifts to liquids drilling. Many of the serial drillers have shown themselves to be not trustworthy.
Will money continue to be thrown at these players as it has been? Will those with the money start to question the integrity of the deals, or grow concerned with prices and or supposed economics and begin to say what the hell are we doing? How many times can we rely on "Trust Me? Will shareholders begin to demand fiscal restraint instead of grow ourselves into the poor house?
What will happen to drilling if Companies will be forced to drill closer to their internally generated cash flow? Drilling will decrease of course.
