In 1965, with the passage of the Voting Rights Act and subsequent legislation in 1970, 1975, and 1982, many other voting protections were reaffirmed and strengthened for Native Americans. They go about voting like anyone who lives out in the country. They have trucks and cars like everyone else even if they live on a reservation.
My sister was married to a Native American. They both worked executive jobs 9-5 and lived in their own home in a middle class neighborhood with their 3 children. GEE, IMAGINE THAT! They didn't even wear head dresses, wonder of all wonders. (sarc)
Somebody is trying to make Native Americans in the United States lesser citizens. I know better. I have 2 nephews and a niece who are 50% Native American, the most beautiful people I know.
