Good - the houses next door will be too expensive for broke unemployed people with bad credit for not paying their mortgages / rent ( good plan, save the rent you aren't paying and use it to buy a house). $4 copper, $1000 lumber, $140 concrete, labor costs SHOULD be going up but every worker is a mexican (except the public utility Co. guys), the builder won't be able to cut already stoopit prices.
Maybe they go belly up. They are building 3 houses on spec right now. I have to go to the other end of LA and pick up a little ultralight plane. Flying it around will surely attract more customers. Out on SoCal inland empire they use red tethered balloons, this is better. I watched a paramotor guy this afternoon raise hell over the place. Nobody wants these houses here.
Doom. Mad Max. One thing for sure, they sure are putting the higher wages aspect of inflation into ply with all this free money.
