AU Optronics reports 2Q loss 

July 27, 2016

HSINCHU, Taiwan, Province Of China (AP) _ AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $18 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Hsinchu, Taiwan, Province Of China-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents per share.

The LCD screen manufacturer posted revenue of $2.49 billion in the period.

The company's shares closed at $3.90. A year ago, they were trading at $3.58.
