A giant retailer with all the advantages of modern technology should be able to fulfill a simple order of three simple items. The default should be that if something is not found, we will notify you when it gets here. Not we will willy-nilly pick and choose to cancel items on your behalf. No I should not be doing business with a place that gives control over customer service to Techno-geeks.
As a side note, their online ordering still says they have many of that cancelled item in-store and ready for purchase so I could buy it again only to have it cancelled again due to being unable to locate.
A competent Techno-geek would write the code such that on-hand inventory would be zeroed out so that more would be ordered before more unfulfilled orders get placed.
