I had the honor to meet Bill Russel many years ago in the summer of 75!

 

We were playing a pickup tag football game at Mamaroneck High School's field when all of a sudden a big black limo pulls up.  We all stopped and stared as this huge man gets out of the limo.

 

It was Bill Russell !! 

 

He was going to film a commercial there later that week and wanted to get the 'feel' of the location.  None of us had a pencil/paper for autographs but he spent some time with us and gave each of us a High 5-which we all had to jump for! 

 

We all got the vibe of this great man in a short time. He smiled, was gracious and spent some time with us

 

Bill Russell was a great athlete and humanitarian and he will be missed!
