Re: The Tension Driving the UAW Strike Threat; GM, Ford and Stellantis want to use profitthe WSJ editorial you quote does a nice job showing the economics of the labor cost/business/business model. I never got around to posting it. for me just as an observer the politics of this has me watching... Biden "pro Union dem" forcing electrification of transportation down populations throats"... union jobs to survive can't become electric vehicle manufacturers... my guess is union membership (not UAW leadership understands this)... state of Michigan voted for Trump in 2016. in 2020 and mid-terms state turned Democrat.... people of Michigan voted for Dem/Biden policies and now they are getting them... apparently Trump will go to Michigan to meet with union members on day of next Republican debate. Trump has come out and said the electric car is forcing manufacturing to China... message #2360 you posted this comment... sums it all up I guess.... “Life is tough, but it’s tougher if you’re stupid”. my family and I have owned F stock for years.... not a huge investment and I would get out if the stock ever really rallied strong....which I don't see happening. never would of bought F if I knew this electric product would be pushed....but decades ago when we bought in never crossed my mind that this insanity was the future... |
