imho, mish is a sharp guy, and worth a regular read. he's refreshing in that he's kind of like jesse: he lacks the inflated ego of lot of pundits, his views seem to be based more on his principles than his desire for fortune and fame in the blogosphere.
but i've had considerable diffrences with him these last 4 years, particularly on inflation vs. deflation and gold values. and he's been a lot more right than i have. in fact, he wisely saw deflation coming ten years ago, and for that reason never bought into the gold to the monn meme. though he likes gold.
we agree more on china. but i think the key point with china is avoiding any pundit that thinks they KNOW what's going to happen. the real challenge of predicting what's going on in china is they they are opaque, we're not even sure who's running things. and the govt/rulers aren't anywhere near as stable in their positions that most western pundits assume.
i'd pay mish's opinion serious respect...
