Re: Not a bad quarter
Market sure seemed to like the report, although a general uptick in the whole market may have helped too - SFL up +10% since the release came out, and one of the only stocks I own in the green today - only two out of 26 green, and the other one is barely green. Ok, SFL barely green too - only up 5 cents - better than a sharp stick in the eye! GLNG and GMLP an entirely different story - my ghod, they've gotten absolutely killed since the idiot in charge said he was going to tariff the rest of China's imports at 10% and global economic (and China) growth was predicted to be anemic. What's weird to me is that LNG prices are way down, you'd think that would drive demand up, not down. In any case, GMLP earnings are almost totally independent of LNG prices, ~90% of their revs come from long term fixed price charters for FSRUs and the 50% of Hilli trains #1 and #2 they own - yield has been as high as 17% lately, ridiculous.
