Lawmakers Try Again to Curb Visa, Mastercard Fees, With Broader Support -- UpdateThe WSJ seems to have partnered with Blackbull to allow select articles to be viewed as a freebie. This one looks to be worthwhile. I don't think either Visa or Mastercard will get hurt much if at all by it getting enacted but I think a lot of big banks will be damaged. They are the ones who benefit by their airline mile trafficing and other benies they put out to customers. A lot of the time the benies never get to consumers anyway. Customers though may lose out a bit by the loss of the tax free perks they can capture. It is surprising that the GOP seems willing to go along with such a law. Maybe its RINOs that are on board? Here's the freebie. http://blackbull.com/en/djnews/lawmakers-try-again-to-curb-visa-mastercard-fees-with-broader-support-update/ The original. https://www.wsj.com/articles/lawmakers-try-again-to-curb-visa-mastercard-fees-with-broader-support-64ab3804 |
