Agree on masks. N both countries it’s not unusual to wear a mask. So the populations could flip to wearing masks quickly and cut the spread. Not so in Europe or the US.
on social distancing, Chinese and Japanese culture allows much less personal space than in the US. It’s a thing that expats from both sides of the world understand and try to accommodate. But a negative for spread in China.
