Travisnye, though I do not disagree with you view of the ills of using tobacco, I certainly disagree with the idea that the government should dictate what individuals may or may not do; any more than they already do, that is. Tobacco use is a very bad choice, but I am in the camp, which believes that it is a personal choice and should remain so. Banning alcohol didn't work, a ban on marijuana hasn't worked and is approaching reversal, and banning smoking won't work either. It will only create a black market, which is likely to have even worse effects on society at large.
Tobacco use in the USA is actually very low, while tobacco use around the world is at an all time high. We can not stop it's use in countries that are not subject to our laws, and we should be reining back the tyrannical power of Washington Politicians over the American People, not encouraging it. JMO.
