The "mind" behind Unger's bad arm anecdoteChoosing to tell that pointless anecdote really indicates a problem. He's obviously told it often as it's well honed, so you wonder how he could of thought it had any appropriateness in this discussion. His cockiness in telling it - as though it was a perfect illustration of some kind of logical coup de grace to make his case - he actually makes my case that he's unqualified mentally for this high position he somehow lucked into. His anecdote in a nutshell is he screwed up his arm, he was told to go in for surgery and he implies he accepted that. Now, his arm is fine - he can eat a sandwich and get cash from his ATM (priorities apparently in his life). But ....(pause) ....I never got the surgery!!! He's talking to a DMD audience, remember. Now if his story's point is to point out the placebo effect it's a bust unless he THOUGHT he had surgery when he actually didn't. Even this guy couldn't be that dumb. So it's not a placebo effect story. (Although I think he may have thought it was). Okay, so it must be a story to illustrate how a physical problem can all of a sudden fix itself. The DMD audience he's speaking to knows damn well that DMD does not, can not, fix itself. So what was the point in telling that anecdote? There is a defect in this guys brain. He is NOT a smart cookie. He is not qualified for that job. I add this evidence to the 4 or 5 simple factual mistakes he made in that discussion. Something is really wrong. This guy's ignorance and non-chalance about his ignorance is wrong. I really think his degree should be examined. He can't think straight. He can't learn about DMD. Where on earth did he come from? How did he earn his degree? Slouching in his chair, no tie, spouting off garbage like he's some tin god. Ridiculous. |
