Inc. on June 17 said it has secured a tieback agreement with privately-owned producer LLOG Exploration Offshore LLC to provide offshore natural gas and oil gathering and production handling services for the Taggart development. Williams will also offer onshore gas treatment and processing services for the development, which is located at the midstream company's Devils Tower Spar platform 140 miles southeast of New Orleans in the Mississippi Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico, according to a news release. Williams will use its Mountaineer and Canyon Chief pipeline systems to gather crude oil and natural gas produced from Taggart. The gas will then be transported to Williams' Mobile Bay processing facility, while the NGLs will be fractionated and marketed at the Baton Rouge fractionator located in Louisiana. Williams owns a 33% stake in the fractionator. The Taggart development is slated to enter service in early 2022. Its reserves are projected to produce about 27 million barrels over eight years, the release said. Williams owns and operates 3,500 miles of natural gas and oil gathering and transmission pipelines, 1.8 Bcf/d of cryogenic processing capacity and 60,000 barrels per day of fractionation capacity in the Gulf of Mexico. |
