Here is another recent, insightful article related to Softbank and ARM
"Under Softbank’s long-term investment horizon umbrella, we believe all shackles have been removed from ARM’s ecosystem investments and many of our coverage companies that rely on the ARM ecosystem can benefit."
Ramsay writes ARM will “invest more heavily than ARM ever could have as a public company,” given that SoftBank’s period for return on investment is eight to ten years.

On a side note, besides the recent news of Softbank’s connection to Rambus and CryptoManager, I think it is also worth noting that during the analyst presentation last week, on slide 36 (under Rambus Memory PHY Solutions), ARM is listed as a Validated Solutions Partner so obviously a business relationship with ARM already exists.
If you throw out Rambus’s LED lighting business, combined with ARM’s massive cash infusion, I would have say that ARM is also another potential acquirer of Rambus.
