Looks to me like Intel could seriously use a CryptoManager system to reconfigure their chips dynamically from the cloud rather than create 30 different set configurations.
 
Given the volumes Intel handles....it may not be as important for them (since they already have massive economies of scale as the largest player) but for smaller players (such as AMD) who can't achieve the same economies of scale as Intel....CryptoManager allow them to get economies of scale up to Y times larger (assuming they are producing Y # of configurations of the same chip family) at a slightly higher cost of chip real estate.
