Re: Rambus, Rubber Rooms and the Politics of Cynicism
Rubber rooms and revolving doors have been around for decades or longer. Subversion of a federal agency is what Dwight Eisenhower was warning about when he spoke of the military industrial complex. Look at the FAA and their relations towards some companies and blind eyes towards others. Look at the Teapot Dome scandal. Look at Lady Bird's connection to Bell Helicopter. The list goes on and on and on and on. The influence of cronies on bureaucrats shifts from agency to agency as time goes by, depending on the flow of money and power.
I for one believe that, more often than not , government is the problem, not the solution. I don't know if you really are who you say you are and I think you nailed it on the FTC. But when it comes to Democrats vs Republicans they are both just is bad. Fanatics on both the left and right are very bad. But I'll take conservatives of "spend and spreaders" anytime.
