Re: Chalk one up for the Good Guys
"The fund failed. That is the manager's fault." That is funny. The fund failed, so he's a bad manager: Q. E. D. A change in regulatory environment could have absolutely nothing to do with it, right? It's always the manager's fault, entirely.
So, when you bought OSTK and your own little private fund failed, was that your fault, and yours alone? Of course not! It was dirty naked shorts and people like Cohodes who manipulated you into failure, correct? That's different, of course.
Why don't you "face it". You probably have no more idea than I of what kind of manager Cohodes was. He's simply on your Enemies List. All you know is that he took a large (no, wait: "massive"--this is the OSTK board, after all) bonus--just like every other fund manager I can think of. And you seem to be forgetting that his fund did not go broke. It just lost a lot of money, as a lot of us did--and as you undoubtedly have.
But I see you've already returned to backbiting about those awful "rich guys", and relishing any exposure of their faults by sarcastically impying that all those nasty "rich guys" share all the same faults. Well, have a nice day, or try to!
