so if the average transaction size was previously $103, then sales coming through the gift finder are about $250 on average. very nice.
also, hitwise has an online retail index that suggests Cyber Monday - Up 13.3% from 2005. ostk made the comment; "For us, Black Friday was when the first breaker hit, then a bigger breaker on Cyber Monday". the hitwise data backs this up. it shows a 41% increase in market share while others like walmart.com/target.com/bestbuy.com/circutcity.com all showed negative growth in market share over the two days.
In other words, Patricks comments are supported by the hitwise data. It looks like the first wave hit the bricks/mortar sites ... but then tailed off, whereas ostk is seeing some momentum.
