I think the phenomena is known as the surprised upset...aka also know as the common excuse for being wrong.

trump was and still is his own best enemy ... had some good ideas and bargaining chips...but a lousy ego that lied and lied and lied when it was so obvious his bragging was more important to him than anything else... including the insulting USA citizens and damaging our democracy traditions that our enemies now are using his words against out population and nation.Do not face him with true facts because his obnoxious EGO has already made up his mind to continue puffing up his EGO's bragging rights and taking credit from other's work and reports.

Just my opinion of course... but much truer than anything Trump has fabricated .
